This is me being a wuss

I really wish I was better at wriggling in to fandom groups. VG was...well, in all honsety, most of the VG communities were slowly dying (at least it seems that way to me) when I got into the fandom. Torchwood, not so much. Very much alive, and a little intimidating because of that. Which is frustrating, because I really do want to bounce some things off of people, particularly this latest one--because it's so AU, but I think it's still very reconizable as TW, as most of the AU is backstory. But...well, part of it is probably my lack of familiarty with the Whoinverse, and the tie-in media for Torchwood. Everyone seems to know at least something about the books, and the Doctor, etc. So...I just feel like the very dim bulb in a room with the Honor students. Proably not how it is, but it's how I feel.
