Dec. 31st, 2008 02:17 amSo...because I am kind of sleepy but not sleepy enough..resoultion time!
First, last year's resoultion:
GET OVER IT
I..*sigh*there are some days when I think I achieved that, and others when I don't. I don't know. I think it's one of those things that will always be in me, and will pop it's nasty head up from time to time. I think I've learned how to deal with it when it does, though.
Past year's resoultions that just kind of made me go 'huh' this year.
For 2007
3. Get a good start on another novel.
Wow. Yeah, actually did that. Better late than never.
4. Try and find a way to control my panic attacks.
Um...they kind of went away without my willing them to. For the most part, anyway. They usually show up because of other, less serious things and thus aren'ta s severe.
5. Deal with my attachment issues.
Again...kind of just...changed. I've abandoned someone who abandoned me, and attached myself to someone who never will. So...hm, yeah.
For 2006
4. Try and get a date
This one just makes me laugh for obvious reasons.
6. Work past my 'most men are violent and must be avoided' issues-
I think...that one...*sigh*I think part of the struggle there, that year, was...really...the fact I was trying to deny my gender stuff. I've embraced that now, so men don't freak me out near as much.
8. Let my guard down
I'm getting better there. Bri's helped a lot.
9. Don't hold back-*In regards to the assholes who need to understand how much they've hurt me*
Ha. Ha. Ha.
10. Work on my issues with my mom
New issues have popped up. Yay. I really need to get the courage to discuss the dress thing with her one of these days, in a way that will get through her thick skull exactly why I feel like a boy in drag when I wear a dress (although I am bringing some skirts back with me to school...going to see if binding changes it)
So, umm, yeah....wow, huge post. Resolutions for this year...quickly...
1. Get the book in shape so I can submit it to agencies by the end of the school year
2. Start going to counseling
3. Work out more
4. Get a better job
