Watched an hour of Repo! The Genetic Opera with dad...we both seriously considered stopping about half an hour in. Dear god, why with the horrid speak-singing? And...argh. So much that could have been done right and wasn't. I wanted to like it, but it was crap. Going to watch some Torchwood to wipe the horrible taste from my brain. Bleeech.

Awww man. I LOVED it. In fact, I was just listening to the sound track. xD Ugh. But I wanted to fucking STAB Paris Hilton.

I loved parts of it. I just think the lines of dialogue that were sung were written very poorly and didn't flow at ALL. My dad started mocking it and it sounded spot on, which is never good. I think some of it was really well done and well cast, but...yeah. I'd really like to see the stage production, I think I'd like it better.

I'd loved Anthony Stewart Head (and a bit of Terrence Zdunich) enough to buy the soundtrack before the film came out, but I hadn't listened to much of it on account of not wanting spoilers. My expectations were... yeah, sadly, steamrollered all to hell and back. Apparently it's drastically different from the stage play, but... yeah. I was very sadface.

Yeah, I was telling dad while we watched that I think the parts I didn't like were probably things that they had transfered over from the stage production in a craptastic way, because I could see and hear potential, but...sigh.

But it meant that I enjoyed the beauty of Torchwood all that much more tonight, so that's something good ^_^
