Okay, this is basically going to be that post I deleted a few days back.

I haven't mentioned this before, because, well, I just didn't...but our toilets have been out for a week (two?) now due to the weather or some such thing. Since we live way out in the middle of nowhere, this isn't much of a problem, really, except...

Argh. I long for an STP (if you can't figure that out...) device. So. much. I don't know if it's just the outdoors thing or if the outdoors thing has made me realize something else about myself, or what. But I'm decidedly uncomfortable doing things the way female anatomy necessitates. I tried standing, and any of you with girlie bits proably know how that went.

My problem is STP's are so bloody expensive, esp. for a poor student who is trying to save to fly hir girlfriend out in the summer. I know you can make your own...at least I've heard you can. Methods like taking a (much cheaper) packer, poking a hole and using something like a medicine spoon. Or something with a coffee lid. But...

Argh. Yeah, just needed to rant since I haven't gotten any help at all from Gender Outlaws.

As far as I know STP's don't hurt, as there's no insertion (at least I think that's what you mean? lol, I are ditz). You just set it against the vulva so you can 'direct' the stream.

Oh, cause the site I checked out used the word 'catheter'.

Oh, that's much better, and in an assortment of colors, too! ;) Yeah, the site I was on actually had a rubber tube attached to the thing....very clinical.

I've had many a time while hiking where taking off my pants was the only option since squatting is hard with my bad knees, lol. :P

lol. Yeah. I actually plan on buying one of the pstyle things when I have the funds, just to see if I feel any less awkward with it. Not sure if I'd feel comfortable trying to use it at school, but still.
