From wikipedia...
According to Digital Spy, Desperate Housewives has been effected by the writers strike in America. The First 9 episodes have already been shot and should stop airing by the end of November 2007, but the cast and crew have suspended filming due to the writers strikes. The repeats will then begin airing in early December, but it is unknown what will happen after that.
The leaves three more episodes. *grumble*Haven't found any info about Pushing Daisies (which isn't on tonight due to the damn CMAs), but I'm sure it's about the same case. Sigh. Good thing I don't watch anything else regularly.
