In reponse to my post about the asexuality segement on 20/20, [livejournal.com profile] lifebytes_yaya asked me to describe my sexuality, and just to clear it up for some people, I thought it'd be interesting to post the resulting convo here.

Me: If you want to go out there, pansexual. If you want what society actually understands, bi (though leaning more towards girls most of the time). I've had my moments, though, where I go 'ya know...sex sounds REALLY overrated. If fucks up relationships, destroys people...and that's when it's consensual!'. So let's go pan/bisexual with lesbian leanings and on certain days asexual. Damn, too many labels!

Lifebytes: awww! :) i wish i knew you in real life, everything about you is interesting and fun! plus u are uber nice!

i'm just plain ol' boring gay! haha!

Me: LMAO! Sometimes I wish I was 'plain ol' boring gay', I swear the labels on me, takes ten minutes to list and explain 'em all! ~_^ That's why I usually stick with bi if anyone asks, though I usually tack on the two spirited-both gender thing if people I know are dicks ask, just to confuse 'em.

I hate to be dense, but the term 'pansexual' is fairly new to me, and I don't quite understand how it's different then 'bisexual'. Enlighten me?? :)

it's bascially just broader than bi. Gender doesn't matter, just the person. That's only if you want to get really specific, so I usually call myself bi because it's soo much easier.
