So, finished Middlesex early this morning (around midnight, because the neighbors were being their annoying selves). I really loved it. I think the thing I loved most was how Cal was not a stereotype. Or, at least, not a stereotypical tomboy before transition. He didn't refuse to wear dresses, and he wasn't forced to wear makeup. Yes, some of it was to fit in, but part of it was Cal being Cal. I'm always confronted by the 'I always knew' thing, and Cal, although ficitonal, confirms that we don't always know. I was pretty damn girlie way back when-and I still am at times. And even as an adult, Cal is not a stereotypical male. And I loved that. Bravo Mr. Eugenides.

Oh, and my strap-on shipped today ^_^ And *facepalm*I'll probably have to reorder Bri's gift due to a typo in the credit card number...even though it looked like the charge had been pending in my account. Gaaaaaaaaah.

I am happy. Wearing a skin-tight shirt with real bindings for the first time...it's actually a pretty girlie top (pink and black BHSU shirt, kind of glittery as well)...but I feel surprisingly more masculine wearing this then wearing my plaid shirts. Yay!

EDIT: Also just made a new packie ^_^

So, some new John Barrowman songs have been uploaded to youtube. I squee. I see that several of the covers are songs I know. I squee more and go to listen.

*headdesk*Right Here Waiting For You makes me weepy in it's original form. Sung by John Barrowman...*sniffles and wishes sie had chocolate*. Very appropriate given that tomorrow is our eight-month...*sigh*

I wonder how we can survive
This romance
But in the end if I'm with you
I'll take the chance

♥ *kisses for the only one for all this is more than worth it*

EDIT: His version of Uptown Girl totally balances it out. So funny coming from someone who has a decidedly 'uptown' voice. If I ever did drag to that song, it would be to this version.
