The passage of prop 8 just really hit me. Before I'd been hearing the numbers second hand from other people, and was still believing we had a fucking chance.

Reading a real news site...I almost bawled, and I did break down for a minute. I mean, seriously. We elected someone with a brain for the first time in eight years. Someone who wants to give GLBT folks rights and...and then we take them AWAY. And with matters like the economy and such taking presidence...

If I were legal, hell, even if I just had access, I'd be drinking. So...

Listening to a live version of Dear Mr. President right now...first, so close to tears because in two months, it won't be relevant. And that's such a good thing. And...I think it's one of the most respectful anti-Bush songs. Really. It's not bashing per se. Just...'I just want to know what's going through your head. Please tell me why you believe this is right, because I really want to understand and believe that you do have good intentions'. And I think that's beautiful and shows that P!nk really is a good person. There are so many who are going 'f' Bush' and all this violent crap, and she just wants to know. And can anyone blame her for just wanting to understand WHY?
