How can you sleep while the rest of us cry?

I watched a good part of Obama's speech tonight...

Wow. That's all I can really say. I hadn't really hooked onto the man before. He'd just been the lesser of the evils.

But now...

He pointed out EXACTLY why we can't have McCain in office. Not dumb, just so out of touch. And Obama's...*sigh*can't even put it into words. But I really do believe he understands. And that he DOES have the intelligence to know when to send our troops somewhere, and that he will. As he put it-JFK and FDR were both Dems, both presidents during wartime.

Yeah.

I'm actually inspired by a politician. I'd sort of been trying not to catch Barrack fever, but I think I have.

So, because I am out of things, I JUST found out about the leak of SM's draft of Midnight Sun. And that, due to that leak, she is putting it on hiatus.

This pisses me off so much, as a reader and as a writer. I know why this has affected her to the point she can't write right now. Most of my drafts are only shared with one person, and when I've shared the bigger pieces with you guys, it's for feedback. I have had pieces taken down from websites because I'm uncomfortable with them being taken by someone and used as their own, even the terribly bad ones. And as a reader....we've all been looking forward to this book for...two, three years? And now it may not happen at all because of ONE asswipe.

FUCK.

McCain picks Sarah Palin for VP

And I'm scared. Because some who wanted Hilary as Obama's running mate may now vote for McCain simply because he picked a woman.

Nevermind that he picked a woman who might as well be his clone.
