Okay, I'm actually happy with this chapter, surprisingly.

Chapter 3
January 10, 1974-8:30 PM

"Do you think it'll stay on?"
"It's loose enough it should" Mandy ran her fingers in between her skin and the leather, checking the tautness of the collar one last time.
"Are you as freaked about this as I am?"
"I doubt it" James wrapped his arms around her, nuzzling her throat which already had a thin layer fur on it.
"It'll be okay luv. I'll be just down the hall."
She sighed, leaning back against him.
"I'm really scared" she whispered. James hugged her, kissing her cheek.
"Don't worry. I don't think he'd kill you, it's hard to blackmail a corpse."
Mandy smiled weakly, turning in the circle of their arms to lean her head against his chest.
"God, I can’t wait ‘til morning. I don’t wanna spend the night with that bastard, I want to spend it right here.”
James sighed, stroking her hair.
“I’ll make sure you’re back in here the second the sun start’s coming up.”
“Mmm…” she started kissing his shoulder when the door opened. She turned around, sighing when she saw Shannon standing there.
“All right, I’m coming…” she rolled her eyes, turning back to give James a passionate kiss on the lips, then walked out.
James sighed after she left, collapsing on the bed and hoping all his promises said to make her feel better would come out true.

"Hello Mandy."
Mandy glared at Brian, moving as far away from him as she could after Shannon walked out, locking the door behind her.
Brian clicked his tongue.
"Is that anyway to greet one of your kind?"
"You're not like me Brian, I know that. You didn't want this, and you're only finding pleasure in it because it causes me pain."
Brian shrugged.
"I thought we might be able to use this to our advantage to maybe save our marriage."
"There's nothing left to save, Bri, and you know that."
"Oh well, if you really feel that way. I guess we'll just get this over with and that'll be that."
"Fine" even though Mandy knew Brian would do no such thing, she needed to have the last word.
Brian grinned, dropping his robe.
"Shall we?"
Mandy bared her teeth to him. He laughed until he saw the look in her eye and knew she wasn't doing it to simply voice her dislike of him. Then she took off her clothes until she stood in front of him naked except for a dark necklace of some sort.
"What's that on your throat?"
"A collar."
"Take it off."
"Why?"
"Just do it."
Mandy trembled a little as she reached her hands up, taking off the collar. Before she'd even brought her hand down something wrapped around her throat and she screamed as her skin began to burn. She painfully looked behind her shoulder, seeing Brian behind her with gloves on his hands, holding a leash. And then she realized why he was wearing the gloves.
"How could you..." she whispered weakly as the silver stung her flesh. He smirked.
"It was quite easy, actually."
"You bastard" she sobbed, the sound growing stronger as she felt the inevitable cracking begin in her arms. Brian laughed, slipping the loop of the leash around the bedpost then taking off his gloves. He walked over to her, honey blonde fur beginning to cover his sleek body. Mandy whimpered, dropping to her knees, panting and gagging against the collar. Her facial bones cracked and she almost heaved onto the carpet, whimpering in slight relief as the change finished until she noticed the golden haired wolf in front of her.
Brian licked his mouth, grabbing her back leg to position her to his liking. Mandy whined, barking painfully as he forced his way inside her, the force of his movements making the collar rub against her throat to burn her a little more every few seconds. Just before she blacked out from the pain, she could have sworn she heard someone banging on the door.

"Mand?"
Mandy whimpered, nuzzling her face into the warm skin cupping her head. She recognized James' scent and continued breathing it in, hoping it had some kind of healing properties.
She felt his free hand stroking down her body and she whined loudly as he touched her throat. She smelled tears on him and shivered slightly as he spoke.
"What did he do?"
"Silver..." the only thing she could say because the pain of those two syllables made her cry. He gathered her up in his arms, picking her up and holding her to his chest.
"Shh...it's okay Mand. It's morning now, everything's going to be okay."
"How..." painful, but she had to know.
"Kicked down the door."
She smiled weakly, moaning as he set her down on the bed. He laid down beside her a moment later, running something cool and wet along the burns.
"I'm so sorry Mand..."
She shook her head, forcing herself to speak so he wouldn't feel guilty.
"Don't...did it for us....worth it..."
She felt his smile against her face and she sighed as he wrapped his arms carefully across her back, drifting off to sleep with a strange happy warmth tingling inside her.
