On January 29, 1979, [Brenda] Spencer posted herself in a window in her home, and started shooting randomly at the Cleveland Elementary School, which stood just opposite. The shooting began as children were waiting outside for principal Burton Wragg to open the gate.

When asked why she went on her rampage, she replied, "I just did it for the fun of it. I don't like Mondays. This livens up the day.
...yeah. That is one factoid about my birthday I always remember. Oh. That, and The Raven was apparently first printed on this day, Romeo and Juliet was first performed and Disney's Sleeping Beauty was released. But those are all so cheery compared to that
But the song based on it fucking rocks. So there's that.
And, oddly enough, I was born on a Monday.
