Dec. 19th, 2009 05:59 pmWell, just found out that I did indeed fail math. DESPITE having an 83 on the homework, because I failed one test which was worth 60% of my grade. BECAUSE ONE TEST JUDGES HOW SMART YOU ARE, RIGHT?
My issues with standardized testing et. al, let me show you them.
Yeah, I'm really pissed off right now. Because this means I have to take math at 8 in the fucking morning, and I'll probably fail again because they teach it THE SAME FUCKING WAY, which means you're supposed to learn from a computer and come in for a lecture where they don't explain shit.
Fuck you, BH. Fuck you with a pineapple sideways.
ETA TMI: I was also on the second day of my period the day I took that test, which meant my head was full of cotton. So, yeah. God-fucking-forbid someone have an off day. Let's fail them based on 25 problems. That's fair, right?

on 2009-12-20 04:43 am (UTC)I'm sorry, though. :( It really isn't fair. I felt that same way about my math test. I could only do about half of it. Grrr. And it really isn't fair. It's bullshit.

on 2009-12-20 05:02 am (UTC)But...yeah. I'm really unhappy. They said they've set it up so if you fail one unit you move to the 'trailer' block because too many people were failing and they thought it would help. My thought? Maybe they're failing BECUASE YOU'RE NOT TEACHING.
*clears throat*Yeah. Still pretty angry.

on 2009-12-20 05:34 am (UTC)No matter what it is, it sounds ridiculous. One unit? People aren't allowed to make mistakes? Especially in college? That's ridiculous. I'm sorry for that. D:

on 2009-12-20 05:38 am (UTC)*sigh*Yeah. I have no idea how I'm going to get it done. I'm working 12 hours a week next semester, which doesn't sound like a lot but after classes? And I already had to take college algebra, and had no idea how I was going to get the coursework in but whatever. But doing it FOR A CLASSS I ALREADY TOOK? *headdesk* That, and the fact I may end up having to take College Algebra in the summer as a consequence, which will f'up travel plans and other things. ARRRRRRRGH.
