Nobody's children

I'm so upset. Found out that my state (South Dakota) wants to ban ALL abortions, unless it saves a mother's life. Now, let me make my opinion clear: I don't think abortion should be used as birth control. If you're in a consensual relationship, use the pill or a rubber or *GASP*keep your legs shut. But if the person in question is a survior of rape or incest...that's where I have a problem. I understand they can give these children up for adoption, but let's say an tweleve, thriteen year old girl is raped. Maybe by a family member, maybe not. Do you think she is psychologically, emotionally and physically ready to go through with a pregnancy, much less make the choice to give up this child she's carried for nine months (if there aren't any complications, which are of course more likely due to her age)? I'm sorry, I know at least one of you here is anti abortion, and I am in most cases. But...children should be made from an act of LOVE, not an act of dominance and violence.
