*SQUEE* Thank you for this. I think she was one of the most beautiful people whoever lived, for all her frailties and faults. She was always fighting-against racism in her hometown, indifferece from her classmates, drugs, low self-esteem, alcoholism, heartbreak. And to be the best damn singer she could be. She never stopped struggling until the day she died.
