Writer's Block: Unfriended, Unspecified!

I've deleted a few people from lj without saying why. Usually, they had friended me and out of courtesy I friended back, then realized e had little in common. I don't f-lock much though, so they're really not missing out.
On facebook/myspace, some people from school who I vaguely knew friended me, and I just friended them because I didn't see the harm. Most of these people deleted me first.
The best example of my unfriending an not saying anything is NE. I actually removed them from livejouranl the first time things fell apart, which they noticed (they may have noticed my 'it's falling apart' post first) and there was the slew of apologies. A year goes by, I've friended them on social networks, things fall apart again, I delete them. They come on Facebook, send me a message going 'hey! I thought I'd friended you on here before!' and I go 'um, heh, I was doing a list purge and I guess I accidentally deleted you'.
This last time, they deleted me. And that was more liberating than I can say.
