Producer Julie Gardner chimed in saying “Killing Ianto was the right thing. Jack had to suffer.” And further she says as to the negative reaction to Ianto’s death “It’s not a democracy, [it is] making drama. It’s about a vision.”
'Jack had to suffer'. Yeah. Because 'Exit Wounds' and the other shit that went down in COE (not to mention all he's ALREADY dealt with because of being immortal and losing people as a consequence and on and on...) wasn't enough.
Yeah. Fuck it. I'm done. You definitely just lost yourself a viewer for series 4, no matter how well you pull it off.
