Apr. 28th, 2009 10:22 pmSince it takes less energy than listening to Irving and Bailey, I'm working on editing Pearlshine again. It's going pretty quickly, currently on page 234 of 414. I'm alternating between inputting notations I made on the print copy in April of last year and fixing things, sometimes doing both at the same time as I see that some of the things I noted have really quick fixes.
My goal (as stated in my new years eve post) was to have it ready by the end of the school year. WTF was I thinking, lol. Seriously, though. I think...gah. I think it might be ready to submit to agencies by January. I'm not setting strict deadlines, though. I know that it won't be perfect when it goes out to agencies--after all, it has to go through editors after that. But I want it to be the best it can be, so it can get the best agent and the best publisher who will understand it.
Woosh. Time for a few more chocolate espresso beans and then actually study.
