Don't read if you're in a good mood

Is it sad that the first thing that got me was his atrocious spelling?

*sigh* Just....*sigh*

I realize I'm already swarming you guys today...sorry...but...

On someone's blog, they mentioned how someone they knew had gone into labor at 24 weeks, and the little girl died very soon after birth.

These things get to me sometimes. That was (approximately) when I was born. I know that a lot of times, there are other things going on besides the prematurity. For example, I weighed much more than I should have for when I was born, which surely tilted the odds a bit more in my favor. But...fuck. 19 years ago, I lived without too much permanent damage...and babies born later, in this decade, die within minutes.

What the fuck? I think this is why I don't believe in God a lot of the time. No just God kills babies indiscriminately like that.

I'm a bit bitter today. I think it's carry-over from last night.

Before I talk to the Hall Director tonight...

'm walkin tall
I don't let their hatred test me
They bite the dust
Head above water, they still can't breathe
My feet pound the ground
As I stomp it out
I dare you to walk a mile in my shoes

Even if they try
They still can't walk a mile in these shoes
They couldn't even lace em up right
Honey these walks are too big to fill
Ten million men can't walk a mile in these shoes

Yeah, I heard it the first time on a DH trailer. Yes, it's J. Lo. But...I don't know, always kind of hits me in a good way. I have to remember that, even if only in the sphere of my sexual/gender stuff...I've been through a helluva lot more than those bitches. Even if they're older...they don't know what it's like, so maybe if I can't excuse their laughter I can understand it.

Talking with Melody about people who have weird hodge-podge accents...I mentioned Ben Jelen. I never bought his album, but I remembered him having a really beautiful voice. And I also remembered that he'd recorded a version of Wicked Little Town, which due to dial up I'd never been able to hear before.

Well I have now

Obviously not as great as John Cameron Mitchell, but still beautiful. As is his version Talkin' About a Revolution

I really need to go listen to more of his stuff now, since I'd only heard like three songs before this (Come On, She'll Hear You, and some other one....)
