Due to the internet crazy and general life, I forgot to post about this.

On October 6, 1998, Matthew Shepard was brutally attacked and left for dead. For all practical purposes, he did die there that night, as he never regained conciousness, though he officially died six days later.

Ten years ago.

And less than a year ago, Lawrence King, a child was killed for being who he was.

At the same time, an open transwoman was on Americas Next Top Model this year, and California is (at least for now, if you're in Cali VOTE!) allowing people to marry the people they've been married to, in spirit, for decades.

I'm not sure if the world's become a better or worse place since Matt (or Brandon, or Gwen, or...) were taken from the world far too soon.

I just know that as long as our brothers and sisters are being killed for being who they are, nothing has really changed.

So, job. I don't have a 'schedule', I'm given my assignment (this week it's to download a month's worth of blog posts/comments from one of the political blogs), and it's basically she trusts how many hours I post that it took me.

Skipping Speech today since I have a math test at 7 and since Speech ends at 4:45...yeah. I want some me time before dinner. Might do some work, too, just to see how it goes. We'll see. And I still need to finish my Wellness Lab book before tomorrow morning. Poop.

Soo...already done with my work assign. for the week. Took an hour.

The stupid dryers always take two cycles to dry my clothes, and I really don't have time to do it again tonight (didn't get to start laundry until 8:40-ish)...so I'll have to do it in the morning sometime.

Good thing I can wear my PJs to Wellness. Blargh. To bed with me.
