I almost cried when I read this:

Something happened that night when Tori was singing 'Me and a Gun'. Her vocals got slower and weaker during the song. There were tears on her face as she got to the line, "And do you know ...." Here she stopped, closed her eyes, letting her head drop and putting her hand out to the hall as if to tell the audience to wait. After about 20 seconds of complete silence she continued, "Carolina?" . After she finished the song. she dashed off stage and was hugged by the guy who looked like her stage manager.

A song I can actually no longer bring myself to listen to because it makes me think of what happened to one of my former dear friends...*muses run to hug their dear honrary muse*

Well this chapter took a bit because the muses had prepared to write it to Twinkle from Boys For Pele. Just when we all get into a good groove in this chap, we find out that the end of the song SKIPS! Thus, the girls sulked for a few hours until I managed to convince them that 1000 Oceans was a good substitute.

I've cried a thousand oceans )

all right, I wasn't going to to this but something forced me to. The new Tori album I got, To Venus And Back has to have the WORST packaging ever. It's a cardboard package, which isn't bad in itself. But the two discs are in poorly designed sleeves that make it a bit of a fight to get the discs out without damaging them. I bring it up because, at the moment, I am listening to the live of Space Dog a song I love, which skips horribly at the beginning and is skipping again now due to the fighting I've had to do for the few days I've had the cds to get them out. all right, done now.

You just want your space. "Sometimes, when you
express thought to people, you leave it open
for somebody to tromp in there and start
tearing it down. I sing, Father I killed my
monkey, to lead off the song, which explains
that sometimes you even destroy your own so
they can't excavate it. When I was growing up,
I started becoming very secretive about my
thoughts and the sensory world I would go to,
because there's a lot of mind control that goes
on constantly, people wanting access: 'What are
you thinking?' So sometimes I'd have my own
defense going, which would be to look them
straight in the eye and make them think I've
killed my imagination. But it's like, I'll take
control."
