Poems for school

The flower sparkles with dew
Shines and shimmers
In the early morning sun
The grass is soft
Thick
And green with life
The trees have awoken
From their long nap
And reach long branches to the sun
(teacher had me reformat that one so it was four lines per stanza, but I like this version more)
Alone with the Stars
The moon spills milky-blue light upon my skin
Making me look like the space creature they think me
And though the world is cold
The moonbeams warm my heart
The stars wink at me
Kindred spirits miles away
Though there are millions
They seem isolated in the sky
The night air surrounds me
Warm and prefumed
Comforting like a kind friend's hand
Helps me to forget
Staring up at the heavens
And back to this world
I cast the 'normal' ones aside
and flee into the dark
The flower sparkles with dew
Shines and shimmers
In the early morning sun
The grass is soft
Thick
And green with life
The trees have awoken
From their long nap
And reach long branches to the sun
(teacher had me reformat that one so it was four lines per stanza, but I like this version more)
