Almost verbatim conversation with an RA I hate anyway just now...they're having a 'getting to know the opposite sex because they're sooooo mysterious' thing...

RA: You should come!
Me: No
RA: No?
Me: I don't like men
RA: But you can ask them anything
Me: I am half male
RA: *laughs*
Me: (apparently to myself) That wasn't a joke...

Argh. This is where I'd just say they're better off not knowing. Anything that frank, they will just take as a joke.

And double-boo to the RA for having to enforce the idea that opposite sexes are mysterious anyway. Ah, sexual mores, alive and well and further back in the century than the rest of the country.

Yeah. I'm trying to get up the courage to show the Hall Direcotr/ask to be posted the gender pronoun/identity labels list TransAction has put up, but...sigh. I'm afraid of what I might say/do if she acts as stupid as other bitch.
