First, let me say that I will admit I have never loved Ruby as much as I loved my first dog Bear. Bear was just...she was a big softie, and I adored her. Ruby was always too wild for me. Bear was lazy, she would just lay there and let you pet her or cry into her fur, whatver. Ruby always ran around and dragged me through bushes.

But lately she's been losing weight. Way more than she should have. She won't eat dog food, just dinner scraps and bagels my dad brings home.

Now my sister found a lump on her chest. Dad says it's soft, and we can't tell what it is. If it's a tumor...we can't pay for medical treatment for our animals. Hell, we can hardly pay for us.

Ruby's not my favorite pet, by far, but I do love her, and I know it would just wreck Magellan if she died, like Ruby was hurt when Angie died.

Please pray for my doggie. I can't handle anymore bad things right now.

Aww honey, I'm so sorry. It's a bitch how damned expensive veterinary treatment is! *hugs* :(

Thanks hun. She seems to be doing well right now. She still has an appetite, just not for dog food. She'll eat almost anything else put in front of her, and she's still playing with our other dog, so I'm not worrying too much.

Buahaha! Dogs are smart. Perhaps she's milking the situation! ;)♥

Quite possible. She got a lot of burgers and stuff back after our other dog died and she was depressed, so maybe she knew refusing dog food would make us worry and get her good stuff. I should spend some time with her tomorrow regardless...
