rid_of_her reminded me of another great book from my childhood: The Fairy Rebel. The woman who wrote it is far more famous for The Indian in the Cupboard, which I actually never read, but I think she should have a fan base due to this. Such a sweet, original little book. (Note: I HATE the cover they have for the one on amazon! Mine is so much sweeter....this one looks so icky and dark, mine's innocence personified)

aw. yeah, i liked the old cover too. it was a sweet, little book...wasnt it? *sigh* we should start a fan base :D
