So. Even after doing several different things that should have worked, the stupid virus program is still not working. And it's not even all the program, just the auto updates. The thing that pisses me off the most is the fact that this is the virus program the school endorses, and that I have run a scan and no trace of a virus is around, so the auto updates are just being pissy. Why endorse a program that doesn't fucking work? *growls*I am going to attempt to uninstall it (couldn't find how earlier, and after several hours of fighting I was tired)...after that...going to get some slightly techier person to wipe the entire system clean and start over, which I really really don't want to do, but...sigh.

ETA: So this isn't all bitching. Due to all the tech problems (and I'm sure they would have done so otherwise) with the webcast last night, the entire three hours of the Vachss chat has been archived. So once I'm able to access things again I can watch it at my leisure. Sigh. I may give into the urge to ask the grandmother if I can bum off her internet on the weekends. We'll see how bad it gets.

lmfao. Yeah. My computer seems to have the same opinion at this point (I also think I fucked something up when I attempted to uninstall/reinstall my OS. Sigh). The plan right now is-see about taking computer to public library for internet, then bring computer with me when I go into Rapid for play rehearsal on Sunday so that mother, who is better at these things than I, can wipe the whole system so I can start over. Blahhhh. Luckily I was able to back up all my stories, and even if I do lose a lot of music I just got two new CDs so things won't be so bad.
