Part of me is actually considering applying...

RAINN is seeking communications interns to work with the Marketing Coordinator and Public Relations Manager under the Vice President of Communications. College students with a Communications, Public Relations, English major, or an interest in the issue of sexual assault are encouraged to apply.

Currently, RAINN is working on a large volunteer recruitment campaign for the National Sexual Assault Online Hotline, which is a revolutionary new service available for victims of sexual assault. The communications intern will assist with promotional efforts and media relations.

Responsibilities will include:

* Volunteer recruitment
* Internet research
* Media database creation and maintenance
* Web-based social networking
* Possibly some writing/correspondence
* Special events assistance
* Media pitching
* Organizational and college outreach

This is an unpaid, part-time position in WASHINGTON, DC.
Communications employees will work with the student and university to ensure college credit is given for the internship.

If you are interested, please email a cover letter, resume, and writing sample to Sara Amin at saraa@rainn.org

Although I'm sure they wouldn't want a freshmen...
