For the first time, talking with my mother caused my stress level to completely drop.

'Course, what Bri sent me might have helped too &hearts

I also think going almost completely femme outside of the binding helped too. Girlie top, girlie jeans, my tinted lip gloss...yay!

I don't know why, but today feels a little hard. Not like...not at all close to the past few winters hard. Just...I just had to give myself an extra tight Chuck/Ned like hug. Because...I think it's because this'll be the first major holiday since we started dating (okay, forgot the 4th of July, but we were in the same state then), and it just kind of...the winter holidays are the time you're supposed to be with loved ones. And my heart's just missing its other half a little more keenly.

At the same time...this year, for the first time in a few years, I can say I have so much to be thankful for without feeling like I'm forcing it. And that feels amazing.

My poor cat's going to probably get her guts hugged out over the weekend ^_^

SAVE THE DATE! No matter where in the world you live, you will finally get to
attend an Andrew Vachss event and ask a question ... and get a signed book. To
celebrate the final chapter in the Burke series, Pantheon is hosting a
three-hour live Web cast featuring Andrew Vachss.
The event will be held
Wednesday, January 14, starting at 8:30 PM Eastern time, with the second hour
launching at 8:30 PM Central, and the third at 7:30 PM Pacific. It's absolutely
free to tune in, and absolutely free to ask a question. In two weeks, we'll have
the pre-registration set up; you'll want to head to The Zero [www.vachss.com] to
find the link to that pre-registration page. Pre-registrants will be able to
send questions in advance, and will get special pricing on a signed or inscribed
copy of the book. (And with this worldwide event taking the place of a tour,
this is the only source for signed copies of Another Life.)
So enjoy your
Thanksgiving, and be sure to stop in at The Zero in two weeks to register!

That's the day we get back from X-mas break, so I'll be here a few hours before and...YES! Chance to get Vachss' autograph! *is so fucking excited*

How can a teacher's office hours be from 1-5 T/Th when he's teaching class from 2:00-2:50? *scratches head* Yeah. This particular teacher, I love...but...this latest paper, the rough draft is due on the fourth, and I need to ask him a question about it but he doesn't have office hours again until the second apparently...I mean, I can write a rough draft in two days if I have to, but...gah. I'll probably just e-mail him and try to work it out, but I'd rather meet in person. Blah.
