yep, it passed Bri.

Chapter 11
Same day-12:30 PM
Mandy woke from her nap to the sound of the phone ringing. She groaned, damn James. She sat up, reaching for it, when something wrapped around her wrist and pulled it away.
She blinked her sleepy eyes, glaring when she saw Brian. The bastard, catching her asleep.
"Hey Mand" he picked up the phone, then quickly slammed it back down.
"Resting up for tonight, I see."
"Shut up Brian. You have some nerve, doing this after the stunt you pulled this morning."
"Why, I thought you'd want to see your family. Or did you not tell them that you ripped off a guy's cock and tore out his heart during the full moon?"
"You bastard."
"Why thank you."
Mandy stood up, intent on running away, but he quickly grabbed her arms, digging a knee into her back. She whimpered, falling to the ground. She turned her head, glaring up at him.
"What do you want?"
"You, darling" he knelt down, taking her hands.
"After all, I can't trust that boy to take care of you."
"Take care of me? Is that what you call chaining me up every month, beating me senseless and taking my children from me?"
"Now Mand, you know that's necessary."
"No, I don't."
"Anyhow, how can you trust him to keep your secret? How can you know he won't run off and tel the world of the horror that lives in his rundown flat?"
Mandy cast her eyes down and Brian laughed.
"You mean you weren't planning on telling him?"
"Fuck off Brian."
"You forget, darling" he wrapped a hand around her neck.
"If I wanted to, I could tell everyone what you are."
"They wouldn't believe you."
"Oh really? They wouldn't believe photographs-"
"You bastard!" she jumped up, intent on strangling him when the door flew open. She saw James standing there, wondering how she hadn't heard him or caught his scent. He dropped his guitar, grabbing Brian from behind.
"What the fuck are you doing to her you crap on stilts?"
"Taking care of some business, that's all."
"Really? Like what?"
"Tell him Mandy."
Mandy turned her head to the side, trembling. James quickly wrapped an arm across her shoulders, holding her close.
"What's he done to you babe? Did he hurt you?"
She shook her head, crying silently. James released her, darting to tackle Brian.
"What the fuck have you done to her you bastard!?"
"Nothing. I wouldn't dare touch her after talking to her family. I mean, I knew she was American, but I didn't know she was ignorant trailer trash."
Mandy watched in surprise as James' eyes flared with anger and he snarled, grabbing Brian by the throat and slamming him against the wall.
"Take it back."
Brian just grinned and James tightened his fingers around Brian's pale neck.
"Take it the fuck back."
"Make me" Brian croaked out, jerking his arm up and firing a bullet in James' chest.
Mandy screamed as James collasped in a heap on the floor, the sound quickly turning into a roar. She slid out of her robe, not even feeling a bit of pain as the change took hold. All she could feel was anger and the desire to kill the person who had harmed the boy she now considered her mate.
She lunged at Brian in a way she had never done to anyone before, not even Sophie earlier in the day. She pinned him down, snarling in his face, trying to tear through the arms he was holding to his face.
"Mand...Mand c'mon I was defending myself..."
She thrashed her teeth, sinking them firmly into his arm. He hollered, trying to scoot away to protect himself.
"C'mon Mand...I was just jealous of him. I swear, that's all it was."
Mandy licked her lips, calming slightly as she tasted Brian's blood. She wasn't with him anymore, true, but something inside her still knew his taste as that of a friend. She snarled a few more times, standing back, watching him carefully.
He sat up, looking at her as blood ran down his lip and arm.
"He made me realize how bad I'd treated you. I...I thought if I scared him, really fought for you, you might see how much I wanted you. I know it's stupid, but I thought it anyway. Can you at least try to see my point?"
She cocked her head to the side, then crept closer and nuzzled her nose against his slashed arm. They both heard James moan and Mandy snarled again as she forced on the change. God this was getting tiring.
She had just slipped back into her robe when James blinked, looking over at the two of them. He pulled himself up off the floor, gasping.
"Mandy..run..I can take him." he stood up shakily, gripping the wall for support. Staggering forward, he pointed at Brian.
"I'm going to fucking kill you..you worthless piece of glitter!" He wiped blood away from his mouth and pointed dangerously towards Brian's heart.
"She dwells in there no longer. She has no love for you any longer. It's me she wants! Tell him Mandy! Tell him you don't love him!"
James looked pleadingly at Mandy but she just stood there helplesssly staring, wishing she could tell him the truth of why she couldn't break away from Brian.
James trembled, tears of pain and sorrow running down his face
"You still fucking love him...After all he's done to you...AND ME!" he pointed to the bullet hole in his side.
"Well be with him then...fucking shoot me again why don't you! Put me out of my fucking misery!"
Mandy grabbed Brian's arm, stopping him, tears shining in her eyes,
"You expect me to be over him in a week?", she asked James, softly. She shook her head, pressing her lips together, breathing heavily. Brian gave her a warning glance.
"Mandy-"
"Shut up you bastard", she snarled, flashing her teeth. Then, she moved away,
"Fuck...god...", she swallowed, unable to believe all this was happening, knowing it was all her fault. She glanced at James,
"Love", she murmured, unable to raise her voice any higher, making up as good a lie as any for what had just happened.
"I spent two years with Brian. It's not like I can erase that in the matter of days and move on. It'll take time. I love you" she sobbed, wanting to fall to her knees and nuzzle him as she had Micheal not so long ago.
James fell to his knees, sobbing.
"He never EVER loved you. How can you love him so much?", he gasped for air,
"I love you with my heart...my soul. I'd die for you Mandy. I'd fucking die for you! Would he?" James slammed his fists down hard on the floor,
"I'm sorry.." he whispered slowly,
"I'm sorry that I'm such an ass, bu I can change...really I can. Please stay with me Mandy. Don't leave me...I swear on my father's grave that I will die without you."
Mandy knelt down, tears in her eyes,
"I'd never leave you", she whispered, threading her fingers through his hair, leaning in close to breathe in his sweet smell. Then, she glanced at Brian,
"Why the fuck are you just standing there? Call an ambulance", she barked, watching as Brian dropped the gun and walked to the phone. She shook her head, trying to make herself wake up. She'd open her eyes and she'd be laying in bed with James, it'd all be right again...
She blinked, but everything was still the same
James felt the pain in his side spread throughout his entire body and he fell down on to the floor, his head resting atop Mandys lap. His breaths came slower now, he had to focus all his energy on just breathing..
But didn't letting go sound so beautiful? Finally the air stopped rushing into his damaged lung..and he lay peacefully in the darkness. Mandy glanced at Brian, who just ran out. She whimpered, curling herself around James and decliately, instinctively licking the area around the gunshot until she heard the ambulance siren.
Mandy glared at Brian as he stood slouched in the corner of the hospital room later that night.
"I hate you", she spat
"No you don't", he whispered. He stepped behind her, wrapping his hand around the one that grasped James,
"You never will, you can't afford to"
Mandy licked her lips,
"Please let me move on", she murmured
"I want this so bad. I just want to try living a normal life for a little while.”
Brian smiled, and whispered in her ear.
"I'll have you back under my control soon enough Mand. I'm a patient man."
Then, a man with brunette hair, dressed in leather and blue jeans, walked in,
"Brian?"
Mandy turned, looking at the man, then to Brian. Brian smiled and walked out with his arms around Curt Wild. She sighed, getting up to shut the door. Then, after making sure no one else would hear, she slowly changed, drawing the process out for several minutes until she stood on the ground below the bed. Then she jumped, curling up around James' feet.
August 21, 1973-6:30 AM
James woke up the next morning to harsh sunlight in his eye and Mandy's soft fingers against his cheek. He smiled, turning over. He regretted it immediately, wincing in pain as he remembered yesterday. He carefully shifted, grinning when he saw that Mandy was asleep, her head resting against the edge of the bed while the rest of her was in the chair. He delicately reached a hand up, brushing his fingers across her lips. Her tongue darted out and he sighed at the feel of her soft mouth on his flesh.
Her eyes fluttered open and she smiled tiredly.
"Oh luv, I'm so glad you're all right."
James smirked, twirling a lock of her brown hair around his finger.
"Hey babes of course I'm alright. I'm never going to leave you." he touched his side gingerly,
"I can't believe he actually shot me. Dangggg. I'm such a sissy boy when it comes to pain." he smiled, laughing softly.
Mandy smirked, kissing him.
"You got shot in the chest. You have a right to feel like shite. I'm just glad you got away with only a few cracked ribs. I swear, I am going to kill him for doing that. I know he's probably insane, but Jesus"
James stiffened a bit.
"About what I said, about killing another man...please don't hate me for it."
Mandy fought back a smirk as she tried to deny the surge of pleasure that came up when she thought about him as a black creature of the night, tearing out the throats of men like Brian.
"Oh love, I've known people who did far worse. Believe me, it's amazing I'm alive, with what I've seen" and done.
"I'm sure you had reason", she rubbed her eyes, trying to ignore how unbelievably tired she was. Changing form three times during the past twenty four hours was draining as hell.
Sighing, James noted the dark circles that were appearing under Mandy's eyes.
"Go home Mandy. Get some rest. I'll be fine here. Please do it...do it for me?"
Even though he didn't want her to leave, he knew it was for the best. She was with child, and she needed all the rest she could get.
Mandy sighed.
"Fine, if you insist" she leaned down, kissing him passionately, running her tongue all around his mouth, drinking in the varying tastes of his musk and sleep.
"I'll be back tonight, though."
"As if I could keep you away" he smirked, gently embracing her before she walked out.
James awoke later that evening to find his room bare. He sighed, he had hoped Mandy would be there but oh well.
He was shocked when two familiar faces appeared.
He stumbled for words,
"Brian...what are you doing here?...and...Curt?" he mumbled the last name..
Brian just smirked but Curt beamed
"Well look who it is..."
James hoped Mandy would get here quick.
"Curt...nice to see you. How's it going?" he smiled sadly.
Curt snorted, and flung his gangly arm around Brain.
"Fucking lovely."
James swallowed; he wished Brian would say something already.
"Oh.."
"When are you gonna cook for me again? I missed seeing you in that apron."
James blushed, and noticed Brian's anger.
"I'll cook for you anytime. Now that I'm with Mandy" he drawled,
"I have a permanent residence here.” James smirked as all the blood left Brian's skin during his dialogue with Curt. He was getting on Brian's nerves, good.
"So Brian, are you going to apologize to me?” James crossed his arms over his chest.
Curt pulled out a fag, and offered one to James. He just laughed.
"I don't think I'll be smoking for awhile.” Curt nodded, and lit up. He took a long drag then spoke,
"So why the fuck did you shoot him Bri?"
Brian felt a blush come over him,
"Well, he was strangling me...then again I did deserve it....I really didn't mean all those things I said about Mandy. She's a nice enough girl, and I hope you're good to her", he was trying to explain himself away so that Curt wouldn't think him a total ass, though at the same time he wanted to tell James what was getting into. That would serve the bitch for leaving him for a fucking groupie.
Raising a green brow, James took note of the exchange between Brian and Curt. He loves him... he thought.
"I'll take better care of her then you ever did. I fucking love Mandy. With my new record almost in the bag, me and her will be living easy."
He noticed Brian lift his head at the comment about his record, and Curt grinned wildly.
"Fucking awesome James. A record!"
James blushed madly; he had forgotten that Curt knew his real name.
Brian didn't like the direction this was going in. He shifted about nervously,
"We should probably get going. Got an interview on some bleeding talk show", it was obvious he didn't really want to go to the interview, but didn't want to stay here either
James nodded.
"Yeah get lost yah gits" he joked nervously.
As Curt and Brian were walking out, Curt turned and pointed to him
"Your album's gonna fucking rock man."
Later that night, a few voices could be heard down the hall, fighting playfully,
"Jack, I'm fine."
"You're paler than me."
Mandy's bubbly laugh, though slightly watered down, was heard and the two walked into the room. Jack was wearing a black dress, and the matching jacket was draped around Mandy's shoulders. Jack looked at James.
"This woman is certifiably insane"
"Well of course I am, love, that's why I'm your friend,” she dodged Jack's playful slap,
"I slept for ten hours, I'm fine" she rolled her eyes,
"You men. It's not like I'm going to break" she tapped Jack's nose and sat by James' bed.
"How're you feeling?"
James laughed nervously.
Oh I'm...I'm all right. I had two un-expected visitors. Brian, and my old fling Curt.” He looked up innocently.
Mandy's face, if it was possible, seemed to grow even paler. She looked at Jack,
“I..." she didn't seem to be able to make out more. She stumbled out of the room. Jack sighed,
Told her she wasn't all right" he muttered
James look stunned. "What'd I say?" he asked innocently.
Jack sighed, wondering how to put this delicately. Mandy had told him she didn't want James knowing about her, so he tried to find a way around how Brian's obsession with Curt had brought on her first pregnancy, which had more or less ended any spark between her and Brian.
"Curt and Mandy have...a history" he rubbed his eyes,
"Brian saw him at a concert. Brian had a hard night, and was feeling pretty low, when he saw the crowd cursing Curt, but Curt didn't care. Brian fell hard, and Mandy....well, I guess you could say she already felt like she'd be shoved to the side, even though Brian and Curt never met face to face until a couple months ago."
James slapped himself in the forehead.
"FUCK!" he screamed, causing Jack to jump slightly.
"Sorry...” James mumbled.
"You see, I met Curt, while I was away in Rotterdam. I was so lonely. All I could think about was Mandy. Jerking off didn't help me too much. I had to try and forget her...then I met Curt..." James eyes seemed to glaze over.
"He was sitting at the bar, cursing at the bartender. I walked over to him and we started talking. Before I knew it, he took me to his hotel room and...and we...we made love. It was incredible. But you have to believe Mandy never left my mind for second."
Jack smiled lightly.
"Mandy'll understand. It's not like she hasn't had her share of pity-fucks. She just..." he sighed,
"She lost Brian to Curt, and I think she thinks she'll lose you too,” he stood up,
"I'll go talk to her."
Mandy lifted her head from the sink and sighed when she saw it was Jack, letting her pointed ears and slanted eyes remain.
"Jack..."
"Mandy, it was a one night stand"
"It always starts with one night"
"He loves you"
"So did Brian"
"Oh Mand...” Jack brushed her hair back,
"He's not Brian. No matter what, I trust he won't leave you"
"Brian never left. He was always in the same house, just another bedroom,” she dabbed at her eyes,
"I know James loves me, but...", she sighed,
"Tell him I'll be there in a few minutes"
Jack nodded and walked out
James watched Jack sashay into the room. He nodded like a zombie when Jack told him Mandy would be there in few minutes. He held his head in his hands, reminding himself that he loved Mandy, not Curt. Why did he feel this way? It was so confusing...
Mandy came in then, eyes circled in red, but looking a little better.
"I'm sorry. It's just-"
Jack held a hand out, knowing it would be hard for Mandy to talk about Curt,
"I told him about Curt."
Mandy nodded her thanks, sitting down beside the bed, holding James' hand.
"I just...for once everything feels right, if I a bit stressful. I don't want to lose that" at least until I have to tell you everything, she thought.
James started to cry, unable to stop the tears from falling.
"I'm so fucking sorry Mandy. I love you. I'm sorry..." he buried his face in his hands shamefully.
"What I did with Curt was wrong. I'm sorry...I'm sorry…" his sobs raked his entire body, leaving him with the feeling of loneliness.
Mandy smoothed a hand through James's hair, pressing her mouth against his ear.
"It's all right love. I understand. I shouldn't have flipped, it's just, I'm so used to Brian's lying that it's hard for me to believe anyone can really love a person if they sleep with someone else."
Jack's hand traced along Mandy's shoulder,
"We should get going. You have to get up early tomorrow."
Mandy groaned,
"Don't remind me. I can't believe I let you talk me into going to a doctor."
"I don't trust where Brian's been."
"Neither do I, but I am a firm believer in that if a guy isn't going to sleep with you, he shouldn't stick his han-"
"Ah, there's that dirty London party girl I used to know", Jack laughed, though he knew why she was really so paranoid of the 'whitecoats'.
"You two are good then?"
Mandy smiled, touching James's face and trying to prod him out of sorrow,
"I hope so."
James looked up, only to see Mandy leaving.
"I'm sorry." he choked out. She hushed him gently, and he felt her hand run through his hair. He looked around for Jack, but he had already left. Sighing deeply, he watched Mandy walk out.
They were back in the flat a few days later, James moaning softly as Mandy ran a cold cloth along his chest while he laid on the couch.
"Mmm...God, it's not fair that I can't do anything with you for another month."
Mandy smirked, flaunting her bare legs and waist, which was accented by a little-less-tight than usual jean shorts and a loose tank top.
James groaned loudly.
"Oh Mandy baby, stop looking so provocative...."
She laughed.
"Well I can't help it. I bet any image of me would turn you on..." she smiled,
"Besides, who ever said that I couldn't...well..", she licked her lips slightly, and-
The doorbell rang.
James rolled his eyes heavenward, and inwardly groaned.
"Mandy, I want this so bad...ughh But you better get the door." he shook his head, and let it come to rest in his hands. He looked up though, when he heard Mandy gasp.
"Who is it baby?"
Though Mandy thoroughly felt the need to make James happy, she promptly forgot her offer when she saw the woman standing there. The only one in her family who knew her secret besides Daddy, and even he didn't know the whole of it. The one she'd written to as she hitchhiked out of Texas, the one who had told her London might be a safe place.
"Jo! Oh my God...I didn't know you were still-"
"It's really....oh Ami, why didn't you call me?"
"I didn't know your number!", the women laughed, and Mandy turned to James,
"Oh love, I'm so sorry...this is my sister Mary Jo. Jo, my...boyfriend James."
James smiled meekly and waved.
"Allo luv. I can tell you're Mandy's sister, you are utterly beautiful."
He winked, and laughed a bit.
Jo laughed,
"Mandy?"
"Long story,” Mandy sighed, giving Jo a knowing look. Jo nodded and then Mandy pulled back a bit to get a good look at her sister,
"God, it's been…ten years? At least?"
"Letters and photographs count."
"Oh god, don't remind me. I can't believe I sent you those...I was so ugly" unless you count the ones of that dog on the back porch...
"No, you just had to grow into those legs", she smiled,
"So how's London treating you?"
"Better as of late."
"Mm.…You know, Sophie called me, and said-"
Anger filled Mandy's eyes, and she quickly curled her nails into her palm.
"Oh please, I don't want to get into that. I'd end up swearing and breaking things/"
"My little Ami swears?"
Mandy laughed,
"It has been awhile..."
"So...James", Jo coughed,
"You're taking good care of Ami, right?", she rolled up her sleeves, revealing herself to be no London socialite,
"Because if you're not...well..."
James grinned, and rolled up his sleeve, showing her that he was no fairy boy.
"I've been treating her as a Greek would treat his goddess. Her radiant beauty shines a light on me in these dark times."
Jo stared at Mandy, trying not to giggle.
"I'm sorry...that's so sweet but...never heard a guy talk like that before."
Mandy smiled.
"James is no normal man, thank God. And yes, he takes very good care of me. In fact", she sighed, obviously still wishing James hadn't done this particular thing,
"My ex shot him when he was trying to defend my honor."
Jo laughed.
"Good. Ami deserves a man who'll take one for her. Wish I could find a guy like that, as a matter of fact."
James raised a perfectly plucked brow.
"You're single? What is this dreadful world coming to when one so beautiful as yourself cannot find a lover? I, myself, would gladly sweep you of you're feet, had I no lover." he winked and Mandy giggled, licking her lips.
James whimpered slightly at her wild expression, wishing for nothing more than for her to devour him.
"You know Jo, I have ..well…have some friends who may be interested. For instance Rich, real nice guy...real big dick.." he giggled insanely en looked up.
"Sorry...we were both drunk...but anyways...I think you should meet him."
Mandy smiled and Jo shook her head,
"I think I'll try to make it without men for awhile. See if I can finally get my life back together...and uh...Ami?"
"Yeah?"
Jo leaned in, whispering in her sister's ear.
"Does he know..."
"Nah"
"Oh. Well...is he well...special or just strange?"
Mandy laughed softly.
"Just a little."
"What did Ma-"
"Well he beat up Dad."
Jo stared at James.
"You're joking..."
Mandy shook her head, laughing.
James whipped his head from side to side, following the two girls whispers. "What are you talking about? My size? Well Geez I thought 9 inches was good enough..,"
Jo blinked,
"Tell me, did the bullet go through the part of his brain that keeps those thoughts from being expressed to the rest of the world?"
Mandy shook her head, smiling.
"He's always like this."
Jo smiled.
"Well, I'd better get going."
Mandy nodded. The second the door clicked shut behind Jo, she sighed,
"Thank God, I was afraid I'd have to ask her to leave", while she spoke, she lifted her thin white tank top over her head and took off her shorts, so that she was standing there in only a black silk bra and matching underwear. She smiled at James's dazed expression, the smile she had the first night they met.
"What, you think you boys are the only ones who get itches?" she laughed and started work on James' pants.
James laughed, and bid Jo a good evening. His attention, though, soon turned to Mandy, as he watched her strip from her clothes, and saw her standing before him, in only her underwear. He grinned, and let her undo his pants.
"Ohhh I think I'm out of practice! It's been like...what? Two weeks?" he winked knowingly, shivering as she unbuttoned his pants. He held her hand, motioning for her to sit on his lap.
Mandy smirked, feeling the hair bristle on her back as his fingers ran down the flesh. She leaned forward, kissing his mouth desperately, then moving down to lick his sweat. A tremble ran through him, making her let out a pleasured growl.
James sighed, wrapping his arms around her, unclasping her bra. He moaned as he saw her flesh, sitting up and circling her nipples with his tongue. She let out a strange noise, something like an animal might make during rutting. He shrugged it off as another one of her oddities, delicately kissing his way down to her underwear, which he quickly did away with. Just as she was getting in position on top of him, his eyes flew open and he grabbed her hands.
"What about the baby?"
Mandy whimpered in frustration, digging her growing nails into his hair. She knew that normally it wouldn't hurt, but with the fact that she'd bled so much when Brian had done it...oh God...
She took a few deep breaths and slid down, burying her nose in the hair by his waist, snarling at the scent there. Just as she was preparing to wrap her lips around him, he groaned and grabbed her shoulders.
"No...no Mand, this is wrong. I don't want you to just get me off" he pushed himself up shakily, taking her hands.
"Lay down here" he twisted her so that her legs were by the head of the bed. Then he leaned down, burying his head between her legs.
Mandy growled, gripping his hair and pressing him close against her warmth. She closed her eyes, arching her head back, images flashing in her mind. Images of being tackled by a black wolf with violet eyes, wrestling around the ground. Presenting herself to this wild creature, snarling in pleasure as they mated under the full moon...
Without thinking, she let out a loud howl of pleasure and love, clutching him as she gasped and groaned. When she finished shaking, he sat up, brushing his hair away from her face and smiling. He kissed her lips tenderly, laying his head on her chest.
"My beautiful wild girl, you barely touched me and I came" he nuzzled her softly, falling asleep while Mandy dreamed, wondering if she could risk telling him how wild she really was to fulfill her fantasies.
