“Brian…” Cecil implored as the angry queen stormed out of the tent. Mandy sighed, throwing up her hands and trailing after Brian and Cecil. Things had been rough enough this year with their frequent fights as Mandy demanded to be allowed to ‘run free’ at least once, just a romp through the park to chase a few rabbits, but no that was too risky for Brian’s reputation. And now he’d been booed off stage. She was sure to get the belt tonight.
Then they were thrust in front of Curt Wild.
Mandy had heard about him. Heard the rumors of what had happened in his youth; the older brother and the sanitarium. Even the more ‘primitive origins’, that he’d been raised by wolves. Despite the pain howl he let loose into the microphone and his lean yet muscular build, Mandy knew they weren’t the same if for nothing else than the fact that Brian seemed enchanted by him in a way he hadn’t been for her in ages. Despite this fact, she giggled as he tossed off his pants and mooned the crowd. He certainly was a character.
Things were different that night. After watching Curt’s act, Brian grabbed her wrist and pulled her off to the bushes, pinning her down and kissing her. Even though she knew he was thinking about Curt, she didn’t care. It was just an infatuation. Like Brian always said, they always came back to each other. She came for the first time in months, clawing his shoulder and barely resisting the urge to bite him, sighing as he collapsed on her and kissed her sweaty neck.
She got pregnant that night, just the one of many changes Curt would bring into their lives.
She found out shortly before the screening of The Ballad of Maxwell Demon video. She had crept into the bedroom nervously, stroking her newly bleached hair.
“Bri?”
“Hmm?” he looked up from straightening his tie.
“What is it?”
“…Do you really think this thing will take off?”
“I sure hope so. Why?”
“Well…it looks like we’re going to have another mouth to feed.”
He stared at her like he’d seen a ghost. For a moment she thought he was going to yell, ask how it had happened. But instead he grabbed her, twirling her around.
“That’s wonderful Mand.”
“But…I mean….aren’t you worried…”
“Your other kids are fine, aren’t they?”
“Yeah…” she hadn’t told him the truth, nor was she going to. He’d only seen them twice, and he wasn’t likely to see them again. She decided to bask in his attention, letting him nuzzle her neck and whisper sweet nothings in her ear.

Things were beautifully happy for two months. Brian got a new manager, one who started helping him climb to the top. Brian didn’t leave her alone when the moon was full anymore. Instead, he would lay with her outside, tenderly stroking her stomach and whispering that she should change him too. It was weird in its way, but Mandy savored the tenderness.
Then one night things got bad.
She was in her wolf form, laying her head on Brian’s chest, savoring the feel of his breath rising and falling under her chin and his hand stroking her head. Suddenly the door was thrown open and they both bolted up. Jerry was standing there, papers in hand.
“Brian, I need you to-“ he stopped, staring at the large brown wolf in front of him.
“What the bloody hell is that?”
Brian cast his eyes down, stroking Mandy’s ear comfortingly as she growled at Jerry, then stepped away.
“Jer, we need to have a little talk…” Mandy whined as she realized what he was doing. Brian looked at her, kneeling down and muttering in her ear so Jerry wouldn’t hear.
“He’s going to find out eventually luv, might as well break it to him softly” then he stood up and followed Jerry out.
He was gone the rest of the night.

When Mandy woke up the next morning, curled up on the floor, she saw Brian sitting on the bed with red eyes. She timidly stood up, sitting by him.
“Bri, what’s wrong?”
“I told Jerry…and he said that I can keep you around as long as…”
“As long as what?”
Brian wiped his eyes, taking Mandy’s hands.
“As long as we get rid of the baby.”
All the colour drained from her skin and she shook her head.
“No. How could you even think-“
“I don’t have any say in this Mand. How do we know you just didn’t get lucky with the twins, that this baby won’t be like you?”
“For your information, the twins are ‘like me’ and they’re living perfectly normal lives!”
Brian stared at her.
“How could you not tell…never mind. That doesn’t matter. They aren’t in the public eye like this child would be Mand. What if we had to hire a nanny? You think we could just give her a day off every month without explaining why it seemed to be totally random?”
“No…Brian please don’t….” she whimpered as he walked to the closet and came out with a wire hanger. He sat by her, cupping her cheek.
“I’m sorry Mand. I don’t have a choice” he put a hand on her neck, holding her down while he forced the wire between her legs.

That night, after spending the entire day giving Brian the silent treatment whenever he came into the bedroom, Mandy slipped from the bed, a few tears falling from her eyes from the pain between her legs and the feeling of emptiness inside her stomach. She snuck outside, dropping her clothes as she went. Then she changed, barely feeling the pain since it couldn’t compare to the pain of having something so dear to her taken away. She ran to the park, not caring if she was seen changing or in this form. Then she sat in a pool of moonlight, howling mournfully until morning, when she was found laying in the early morning sunlight by one of Jerry’s assistants, naked with tear tracks on her face.

Wow, this is really really good, very creative. I so hate Brian.
